Fruit flavoured Vodka

Post by Tonyginlash » 22 Jan 2008, 12:36

Her's a little off-beat number a pal gave me - and boy, does it work!!!

1 litre cheap vodka + one extra empty bottle.

6 packets of Skittles (children's sweeties)

Open all the packets of Skittles and separate all the green and yellow ones from all other colours.

They are loaded with sugar, so extra sugar is un-necessary.

Divide the vodka into two halves (thats why you need an extra empty bottle)

Add the green and yellow sweets to one bottle and all the remaining colours to the other one.

Shake well until disolved - two or three days will usually suffice.

For a stronger fruit flavour, use more Skittles.

Result - one drink that's a lemon and lime flavour and another that's 'tootie - frootie'.

Sounds fun. Might give it a try sometime.

We used to do this. Get a quarter of your favourite boiled sweets, pear drops, sherbet lemons, aniseed twists or cola cubes were always good, and dissolve them in a bottle of vodka to get a lovely liqueur. Adding more sweets gets it thicker and more syrupy
