How long can frozen sloes last?

Post by lmanning » 12 Oct 2014, 17:57

Hi,
I picked some sloes this year, but they are not very good.

In the freezer I have sloes from 2011. Is it still Ok to use them because they are much bigger and better looking than the ones I have picked this year, plus there seems to be a bit of a shortage in our area.

Is 3 years in the freezer going to cause problems? Don't want to poison anyone.

Thanks

Len

I'd have thought they'd be fine - I've used 2 year old ones before now.

Have used 10 year old sloes I found in the bottom of my chest freezer.

Result was terrific.
