I've managed to get a supply of 50% abv Gin for this year's batch. It's £10.95 for 70cl from The Wine Society.
I'll let you know how it works out. It should be a bit more firey hopefully! It will also have a third more alcohol than 37.5% gin.
My favorite use for sloe gin in drinking from a hipflask on a long chair lift when skiing. Space in the flask is at a premium, so more booze by % is the way to go I reckon!
