I've made 2 bottles worth and still and have some sloes left over. I haven't had a chance to go looking for more to make another full bottle, so I'm thinking of making a small sugar free bottle with remainder to mix with the first lot if they turn out too sweet for me.
Would I need to mash the fruit as other posts refer to needing sugar to cause osmosis, add just a little sugar to get things started or would it be simpler to just add neat gin to offset any over sweetness?
Does anyone make theirs sugar free as a matter of course for regular drinking?
