Bottled the sloe gin & patxaran last night. 12 bottles altogether; mostly 500ml but some 1 litre. So far so good but will be better after standing.
Tonight, I made sloe gin chutney following the recipe somewhere on the board. Spent flipping hours and hours destoning pounds and pounds of sloes; followed the recipe as exactly as I could but...
...I'm not sure it's edible. In fact, I'm not sure sloes can ever taste like anything but, well, sloes. We shall see. Hope it *is* edible; got 5 x 500ml jars of the stuff!
