sloe vodka

Hi I have just made 3 bottles of sloe vodka, the problem is it is a bit sharpe is there anyway in which to make it more mellow on the old taste buds. awaiting your advise dss.

If you have just made it, then wait 3 months and taste again...
If it's still sharp, which I doubt, then add a little sugar and taste again. Some say dissolve the sugar first, but I never do - I just shake the bottle for a couple of days until the sugar is dissolved.

Thanks NANNA did what you said,alot better,today added 2 teaspoon per bottle should be ready for xmas.A small tip on sloe gin use almond flavering instead of essence not quite so oily. Ahappy christmas to you all. happy drinking, dss
