Damson Vodka

Post by ziggyzig » 12 Oct 2008, 17:40

Hi Folks
I made my first sloe gin last year and am ready to branch out now.
Please would someone tell me if the proportions for damson vodka are the same as for sloe gin?
Thank You.
Ann.

Hi Ann
Yes - or, at least the way I make Damson Vodka - the method and ratios are the same as Sloe Gin.
I use the same recipe for Sloe Gin/Whisky/Vodka/Brandy and Damson Gin/Whisky/Vodka/Brandy and enjoy all equally. :D
The only fruit I use a different recipe for is Blackberry. It has more natural sweetness in itself so needs less sugar - it makes a cracking Blackberry Bacardi for the wife.
Merry Christmas

Hi Dave
Many thanks for that.
I think I will try the Blackberry Bacardi next year, sounds good.
Merry Christmas.
