I've been rumaging around in the drinks cupboard and found a full bottle of a clear alcohol (40%) and have no idea what it is. Even more amazing is that it's survived a number of teenager parties.
Anyway - Ron El Isleno, Alegre Blanco. It's from the Canaries. Since I've been turning it every which way I see there is a tiny bit of sediment in the bottom.
I suppose I should just open it and have a sniff/snifter - not feeling very adventurous though! I'm wondering if it's white rum as my ex liked bacardi.
What other spirits do you use for bottling fruit? Exchange recipe ideas here
