SLOE BRANDY - RESULT!

Post by Topps » 21 Oct 2006, 01:21

My experiment with making sloe brandy ie substituting the gin for brandy is a winner! As expected, it has developed into a luscious deep red liqueur with the subtle characteristic aroma and taste of the sloes still right there in the background. Normally I would not drink brandy, I find it a tad too harsh for my taste but this treatment has smoothed it right out. Delicious!
I have used about 3/4 standard wine goblet of white granulated sugar per litre and about 160 of the fattest sloes.
Its so good I made another 2 litres! Recommended.

I've stuck a few sweet, yellow bullace into some brandy...and as brandy is one of my fave drinks, I'm hoping it turns out OK.

Cheers,
